Aged Care Projects

Aged Care

Jones Nicholson have extensive experience across a range of projects, including a growing list of regular clients in the Aged Care sector. Aged care facilities can present intensive engineering design areas that require detailed design and thorough co-ordination.  Jones Nicholson have spent several years progressing their 3D Revit capabilities in order to be able to document a co-ordinated model that clearly demonstrates the reticulation of services amongst the structural elements. Clash detection allows us to proceed to tender with confidence that each of the engineering solutions work in relation to the other engineering and architectural aspects of the project.  Above is an example of the documentation of an Aged Care corridor model that demonstrates the arrangement of services.

Aged Care providers are often forced to work within existing sites to improve the facilities offered to the aged and have limited ability to upgrade surrounding infrastructure to meet Council imposed conditions.  Our civil engineers are experienced in optimising the potential of the site whilst providing innovative solutions to address local infrastructure deficiencies and Council policies.

In addition, our structural services are experienced in renovations to existing buildings and utilising existing structural elements to limit the extent of new construction work.  Our experience in remedial works and analysing building failures allows us to understand the issues that can occur before they happen, building sound engineering knowledge into our structural designs.
