Jones Nicholson is currently seeking to grow its young and enthusiastic drafting & documentation team. We are seeking to hire either an apprentice or junior draftsperson.
Applicants should possess the following:
Completion of HSC with strong results in Maths & Science will be beneficial but not essential.
An interest in the building and construction industry.
Desire to learn and grow in a role.
Any experience using Revit or CAD packages will be beneficial but not essential.

Jones Nicholson, having established itself as a multi-discipline engineering consultancy company, has been providing award winning design and innovation to our clients since 1970.
We pride ourselves on our commitment to our staff and clients ensuring that we continue to deliver high quality solutions at an optimum level. As such, Jones Nicholson has experienced continual growth requiring expansion of our Structural Consulting team in our Wollongong and Mossvale office.
Reporting to the Structural Discipline Manager, you will be given the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of concept and detailed structural design and documentation on a diverse range of projects.
As a Graduate Sructural Design Engineer, you will be responsible to:
Deliver design calculations, reports and drawings under supervision;
Produce your designs using, and with knowledge of, the relevant design standards and codes;
Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment;
Learn and help to prepare selected project briefs, scopes of work and fees under supervision;
Your experience and personality traits will include:
Obtaining a recent degree in Structural or Civil Engineering;
Some post-graduate engineering consultancy experience is desirable, but not essential;
A self-motivated individual who can work independently, but is also comfortable in a team environment;
Excellent communication and report writing skills;
Knowledge in structural design in one or more of the materials - reinforced concrete, timber, steel and masonry;
