University of Western Sydney, Bankstown Campus - New Teaching Facility

Public And Community

Jones Nicholson’s multi-discipline team provided engineering design for the construction of the new 5000m2, teaching facility at UWSCollege Bankstown Campus, designed to achieve a 5-star Green Star energy rating.

The building consists of a basement and 3 levels of teaching facilities which include open planned offices, two-tiered lecture theatres, computer laboratories, flat floor teaching platforms, learning spaces and associated amenities.

Our teams had to incorporate the latest sustainable innovations into their designs to ensure that the University achieved its 5-star Green Star status which included utilising natural and sustainable lighting and motion sensors throughout the building.
